How can I fix an unplayable/corrupted .MOV file?

I took a video with my iPod Touch, and uploaded it to my laptop. It now says it's unable to play in any program (Windows Media Player, QuickTime) and I'm also unable to convert it. It only says the file size and date taken. Please tell me there's a way to fix this, I've tried so many different programs for days and got no results. These videos happen to be irreplaceable. :C
