My bf is filming an ad for tv&he kept it secret from me?

he s a model&he doesnt have much money.im broke too.we re both 25 & been going out for 3 years.He s going to be in a very big ad campaign with another guy,&they re getting paid hundreds of thousands of euros.i found out by reading it on the showbiz news.why didnt he tell me?i never ask him for anything&recently i gave him 2000€ because he was claiming to be broke(all my savings that is).i confronted him&he claims he knows nothing about it&that the company people havent contacted him in months&that the ad had been cancelled long ago.&he said "omg,i wish i get the job!if u saw it on the news,maybe its not cancelled!".do u think he s lying?i mean,the ad airs in september&he says he knows nothing about it.
