Why do some people use the ALTERNATIVE MEDICINE category to constantly defame any alternative medicine answers?

Well for some reason, even though alternative medicine is often well regulated (not always and not completely but often), the rates of death and serious injury as a direct consequence of use of alternative medicine are incredibly low, advocates of a system of medicine which inadvertently kills and maims millions of people world wide (100,000's of thousands for Adverse drug reactions in + surgical blunders / complications in the USA ALONE) feel that the general public is too stupid to make informed choices about its own healthcare so try to discredit decent, hardworking ethical practitioners like myself in order to make sure they keep themselves in a job.
