Where's the beef? Blind faith is ignorance--faith based on knowledge is bliss.?

So--one of the ways to avoid ignorance and blind faith is to correlate the holy book and it's characters with archeology. Can anyone please site me some verifiable historical/archeological data on the life of Christ. With as many miracles that occurred via him there should be loads of references in literature of that era.
